Daejeon Citizen today confirmed that Brazilian forward Chi Chi has had his contract terminated by mutual consent. The striker, who scored just one goal in eleven appearances for Daejeon, played his last game for Citizen in the 2-0 Peace Cup victory over Daegu, ironically the game in which he scored his only goal for the club.
The news has helped intensify speculation that Daejeon have already made a move for former fan favourite Adriano Shuva.
